In order to help large volume mailers to lower their delivery costs one must provide a solution that
enables the consumer to achieve the required refinement level put forth by the different delivery partners on the market, so as to be eligible for lower postage rates.
The consumer must have a solution which enables them to keep their existing infrastructure. The consumers must further be able to retain their chosen output format and layout for their transactional mailing volumes. Ideally their mailing should be split, sorted and bundled during the conception phase by their output management system; this solution isn’t feasible since the sorting and bundling criteria often relies on logistic data added by a custom application or process provided by the delivery partner.
By providing a flexible platform for mail optimization the consumer is not only enabled to lower their delivery costs and to keep their existing infrastructure, the consumer also gains a level of independence towards their print shop and there by are free to choose their partners as they see fit.
